Inez Snyder Carnes, 79, of Tiger, Georgia., wife of Rev. Cranford E. Carnes died Friday December 19, 2014 in Gateway Health & Rehab in Cleveland, Georgia.
Born in Macon County, North Carolina, May 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Snyder and Mary Jane Ramey Snyder. She was a homemaker and served as pianoist in churches where her husband, the Rev. Cranford Carnes, pastored and also served as Bible School Director.
Mrs. Carnes is survived by her husband, Rev. Cranford E. Carnes of the home, by a son, Aaron C. Carnes (Windi) of Lakemont, GA., by a daughter, Judy Carnes of Kennesaw, GA., by a sister, Myrtle Snyder Vallee of New Orleans, LA. Four grandchildren, Josh Carnes, Walker Ivie, Jennifer Harrison and Dustin Ivie. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be Monday December 22, 2014 at the Liberty Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Sheffield, Rev. Jewell Gaines and Rev. Mickey Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be Sunday December 21, 2014 from 4 to 6 P.M. The body will be placed in the church Monday December 22, 2014 at 12:00 Noon to lie in state. The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Windi Carnes on Biddy Mountain Lane, Lakemont, Georgia.
