Imogene Knight Butcher, 67, of Old Hwy 441 S. Clayton, GA., died Saturday July 19, 2008 at Mountain Lakes Medical Center. Born October 17, 1940 in Macon County, NC.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Irene Bradshaw Knight. She was the widow of James G. Butcher. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two sons- Roy Butcher and Troy J. Butcher both of Clayton, GA.; Two brothers- Doyle Chappell of Tiger, GA. and Morris Chappell of Clayton,GA.; and special friends- Rita Butcher, Rhonda Watts, and Hazel Stalcup; Two grandchildren- Samantha Butcher and Matthew Webb. She was preceded in death by two sons- Scotty Butcher and Mark Butcher; three brothers- Charlie Bradshaw, Gwen Earl Chappell and Buddy Knight.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday July 23, 2008 at 11:00 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Clayton, GA.
The family is at the home on Old Hwy 441 S. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9:00 PM Tuesday July 22, 2008.
