Hugh Thomas Ramey 65, Clayton, GA


Hugh Thomas “Tom” Ramey, 65, of Clayton, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.
Mr. Ramey was born August 30, 1942 in Rabun County he was a son of the late Hugh and Pauline Hollifield Ramey. He was a Caretaker and Landscaper, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the Boggs Mountain Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter and a son-in-law; Tomya and Jeff Ramey of Clayton, three brothers; Henry Ramey of Wiley, GA., Roger and Vaughn Ramey both of Lakemont, GA., three sisters; Geneva Dotson and Reba Dotson both of Mtn. City, GA., and LaVerne Hunnicutt of Wiley, GA., two grandchildren; Daniel and Phyllip Ramey both of Clayton, GA. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2008 at 2:30 PM from the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Vaughn Stancil officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiley Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Thursday, March 27, 2008. The family is at the home of his daughter and son-in-law Tomya and Jeff Ramey on Jeff Ramey Road Clayton.
