Hoyt Richard Sanders, age 81, of Clarkesville, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024.
Born on May 9, 1942, in Franklin, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Richard and Anna Hodgins Sanders. Mr. Sanders retired from Toms Distributing as a self-employed route salesman with over 30 years of service. Hoyt was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaye Benfield, brothers; Bentley, Nelson, and Talvern Sanders; sisters, Delores Sutton, and Maggie Hancock.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Annette Sanders; his children, Tina (Skip) Burke, Scott (Kathy) Sanders, Jason (Rhonda) Sanders, and Steve Sanders; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Monday, April 8th, 2024, at Hollywood Baptist Church with Pastor Don Samples and Pastor Chuck Johnson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 7th, 2024, at the funeral home.
