Homer Billingsley

Homer Lee Billingsley, 78, of Scaly Mountain North Carolina., died Tuesday May 30, 2017 at his home.
Born in Macon County, North Carolina., he was the son of the late James (Jim) Newton Billingsley and Lillie Hazel Brown Billingsley. He was a farmer in the Macon County Community.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lillie Brown Billingsley, by brothers, Juan Billingsley, Jimmy Billingsley, Joe Ed Billingsley, and Bobby Billingsley and by a sister, Alice Holt and is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Ruth Holt Billingsley, one son, Keith Billingsley (Gina) of Scaly Mtn., NC., three daughters, Sherry Holt (Keith) of Highlands, NC., Carolyn Raby, of Scaly Mtn., NC. Lynn Vinson (Scott) of Scaly Mtn. seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday June 2, 2017 at the Flats of Middle Creek Baptist Church in Scaly with Rev. Jamie Chaistian officiating. Rev. Marty Kilby will conduct the graveside service. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be Thursday June 1, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The body will be placed in the church at 10:00 A.M. Friday to lie in state. The family is at the home in Scaly Mtn NC.,
