Hiram A. Emory, 78, of Clayton, Ga. died Sunday June 7, 2015 at Mtn. Lakes Medical Center, Clayton, Ga. Born in Rabun County, December 31, 1936 he was the son of the late Thomas W. and Della Giles Emory. He was the widower of Betty Alley Emory.

Hiram was retired from Burlington Industries & Fruit of the Loom and was a member of Tiger Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death, besides his wife and his parents, by a brother and a sister and is survived by two sons, Alton Emory and Roy Lovell (Ann) of Tiger, Ga, two daughters, Nancy Golez (Bob) and Winnie Scroggs both of Stroudsberg, Pa. Two Brothers, William Emory of Otto, NC, and Tommy Emory of Mtn. City, Ga & by three sisters, Lou Turpin (Bruce) of Clarkesville, Ga., Lee Brantley of Mcdonough, Ga. & Sally Emory of Mtn. City, Ga. Six grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday June 9, 2015 at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Hunnicutt officiating & Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating at graveside. Visitation will be at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home Tuesday June 9, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. (the funeral hour) the family is at their respective residences.
