Hilyer Randolph Edmonds , age 76, of Lakemont Ga, died Friday Aug 22 ,2008 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainsville Ga. He was born in Rabun County , May 21 , 1932 . He was the son of the late Rev. Jim and Laura Taylor Edmonds.
He was retired from Cash and Thomas in Toccoa Ga, were he was a pipe layer for many Years . He was a member of the Blue Heights Baptist Church .
He was married to Sylvia Brock Edmonds .He was preceded in death by three brothers Rev. Jesse Edmonds , Henry Edmonds and Eddie Edmonds and by two sisters Ethel Parker and Frances Chastain . He is survived by his wife of 43 years Sylvia Brock Edmonds. And by three sons James Wesley Edmonds of Lakemont Ga, Ervin Edmonds of Turnaville Ga, and Micheal Edmonds of Hollywood Ga. Three sisters, Senia Southards and Anne Chastain of Mountain City Ga. and Irene Livingston of Tiger Ga , Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive .
Graveside services will be held Sunday Aug, 24,2008 at two O’clock pm at the Taylors Chapel Cemetery with the Rev.Jeff Houston and Rev. Ronia Hunter officiating .
The body is at the Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Saturday night August 23, 2008
The family is at the residence on Emerald lane, Lakemont Ga.
