Henry Ellis Watkins , 73 , of Clayton, Ga. died Monday March 23 , 2009 in Clayton .
He was born in Rabun County on September 30, 1935 to the late Ellis Conway and Frankie Fountain Watkins. He was of the Baptist Faith and worked at the Rabun County Recycling Center and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Ellis is survived by his Campanion ; Vivian Carver of Clayton, Ga., Seven sons and four daughter-in-laws , Bill and Karen Watkins , Bob and Pam Watkins , Conway Watkins all of Clayton, Ga., Melvin and Jenny Watkins of Maysville, Ga.,Michael and Rachel Watkins of Nashville, Tennessee , Joey and Joan Watkins of Jefferson,Ga. and Shannon Watkins of Clayton, Ga., one daughter , Bonnie Motes of Robbinsville, North Carolina, one brother Tom Watkins of Clayton, Ga., four sisters , Dot Chastain of Jefferson, Ga., Marie Queen, Hoschton,Ga., Janie Hill , Maysville, Ga. and Gail Bishop of Perry,Ga., thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home on Friday March 27,2009 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Raymond Page and Rev. Steve Welch officiating. Burial will follow in the Chechero Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends on Thursday March 26, 2009 from 6 to 9 P.M.
The family is at the home of the son and daughter-in-law , Bill and Karen Watkins , in the Warwoman Community.
