Henry Ford McConnell 77, Clayton, GA


Henry Ford McConnell, 77, of Clois Road, Clayton, husband of Margaret Mozell Carnes McConnell died Monday January 7, 2008 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.
Born June 16, 1930 in Rabun County he was a son of the late Augustus and Mary Crone McConnell. He was a retired Machinist with Rabun Metal Products, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife; Margaret Mozell Carnes McConnell of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law; Jerry and Rose McConnell of Athens, Alabama, and Don and Mildred McConnell of Eastanollee, GA., one brother; Gordon McConnell of Asheville, NC., five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by brothers; Estel, V.A., Tom, Clyde, and Glen McConnell, sisters; Mary Villanova, Florence Williams, Myrtle Ray.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday January 9, 2008 at the Hunter Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.C. Quilliams officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Tiger with full military honors accorded by Chapter 15 of the D.A.V.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday evening January 8, 2008. The family is at the home on Clois Road in the Five Points Community in Clayton.
