Helen Moore Ashcraft, 94, of Wolffork Road Rabun Gap, Georgia., died Friday night April 4, 2014 at her home.
Born in Rabun Gap, Georgia., January 17, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Emory G. Moore and Lizzle Ritchie Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wolffork Baptist Church. She was the widow of Paul Ashcraft, Sr.
Mrs. Ashcraft was preceded in death by her daughter, Jerri Leavel; by brothers Dean and Wallace Moore and by a sister, Katherine Foster, and is survived by a son, Paul Ashcraft, Jr., (Mary) of Rabun Gap, a sister, Sarah York of Rabun Gap, a son-in-law Richard Leavel of Madison, GA., and a sister-in-law Vera Moore of Rabun Gap, GA., and three grandchildren; Steve Leavel, Brian Leavel and Robert Ashcraft. Six great grandchildren and several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at the Wolffork Baptist Church Monday April 7, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jimmy Greer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Sunday night April 6, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. Monday to lie in state. The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law Paul and Mary Ashcraft on Wolffork Road, Rabun Gap, Georgia.
