Hazel Parker Norton, 77, of Tiger, GA., died Monday, May 19, 2008 at her residence.
Born in Rabun County October 26, 1930, she had spent most of her life in Michigan. She was a daughter of the late Lois Marie Parker and the late Dock Coleman. She was retired from A&P Foods and was a member of a Baptist church in Michigan.
Survivors include sisters, Beverly Sibley and husband James of Mauldin, SC, Bobbie Littrell and husband Amos of Tiger, GA, Belinda Ramey and husband Joe of Tiger, GA., she was raised in the home of her grandparents Milford and Samantha Moore Parker as a sister to and is survived by; Robert Parker, Margie Burton, and Maude Burrell.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Rocky Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Rusty Wolfrey and Rev. James Sibley officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Grove Cemetery with the Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating at the graveside. The body will be placed in the church at 1 PM to lie in state until the funeral hour.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Wednesday, May 20, 2008. The family is at the home of Bobbie and Amos Littrell on Dock Coleman Road in the Bridge Creek Community.
