Harvie Daniel Free, 96, of Tiger, GA., died Tuesday morning September September 25, 2018 in Baldwin, GA.
Born in Habersham County August19, 1922, he was the son of the late Simmie Lester Free and Annie Coalley Free. He lived most of his life in Rabun County. He loved his family and his community and served them well. He was a retired automobile salesman and was a member of the Clayton Church of God.
Harvie was the widower of Susie Wilson Free, and is survived by three sons, Terry Daniel Free (Deborah) of Toccoa, GA., Tim Free (Anne) of Tiger, GA., and Tony Free (Lynn) of Tiger. One daughter, Emma Sue Free Thurmond (Charles) of Rabun Gap, GA., one sister, Clara Mae Free Ramey of Wiley, GA., Ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be Friday September 28, 2018 at the Clayton Church of God at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Bryan Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park in Tiger, GA.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where a visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday September 27, 2018. The body will be placed in the Church at 1:00 P.M. Friday September 28, 2018 to lie in state. The family is at the home in Tiger.
