Harold Hembree , age 60 , of Wiley Church Lane , Lakemont , Ga. died Monday afternoon Nov. 17 , 2008 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center , Gainesville , Ga.
Born in Franklin , North Carolina , He was the son of the late Arthur and Rheda Wilson Hembree . He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and was employed by Rabun County for a long time. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a Baptist by faith .
He was preceded in death by two brothers ; Charlie and G.C. Hembree and is survived by , his wife Janice Jones Hembree of the home . One son , Wesley Harold Hembree of Westminster , South Carolina , One brother , Hoyt Hembree of Cumming , Ga. Six sisters , Barbara Bramblett , Joanne Chappell and Susie Dockins , all of Clayton – Katie Moore of Westminster , South Carolina , Melinda Matheson of Long Creek , South Carolina and Carlene Dills of Rabun Gap , Ga. Several nephews , nieces , and cousins also survive .
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday November 20 , 2008 at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Cannon and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating .
Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park .
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Wednesday November 19, 2008
