Gregory Scott Hannah, age 75, of Clayton, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 14 at 11:11 AM at Solace Hospice in Asheville, NC. Born May 13, 1947 in Utica, NY to the late Phyllis Jones and Norman Hannah. He helped run his father’s Chevrolet Dealership in Waterville, NY before enlisting in the Navy. He was a USN Seaman on the USS Truckee and earned the National Defense Service Medal. Later he moved to Clearwater, FL and attended St. Petersburg College. He stayed working in the automotive industry as a wholesale buyer traveling the east coast. He relocated to Clayton, GA in 1986 where he continued working as an automotive wholesaler, owned and operated a shoe store, Three Friends Shoes in Dillard, GA and began building houses. Over the years he designed and built five houses on Screamer Mountain. In 1990 he authored and locally printed his memoir “Contact With God: The end result of my changing. He devoted 43 years of his life living by the motto, “One Day at a Time” and helping others do the hard work to change their lives for the better. He was a brother and survived by his sisters Gayle McGibbon of Lakeland, FL and her three children, Brett, Brittany, and Brie and 6 great nieces; Tracy Hannah, husband Peter, of Jacksonville, FL and her two children Ashley and Reagan and 2 great nieces; his brother Mark Hannah, wife Page, and their two children, Benjamin and Jessica of Old Forge, NY. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and survived by his daughters Dawn Krolikowski, husband Mark, and her three children, Tyler, Tori, and Austin and three great grandchildren of Crossville, Tennessee; Tracy Hannah-Rodrigues, husband Victor, and their two daughters Alexis and Dakota of Spring Hill, FL; Kelly Hannah and her son Christian of Dahlonega, GA; and Courtney Lough, husband Michael, and their two children Miranda and Donovan of New Port Richey, FL.
