Glenna Wilson Jones 62, Mountain City


Glenna Ardrene Wilson Jones, 62, of Mountain City, widow of Glen Jones, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Cleveland.
Born March 5, 1950 in Missouri, she had spent most of her life in Rabun, County. She was a daughter of the late William Jasper and Willie Jane London Wilson. Mrs. Jones was a textile worker and was a member of the Black Rock Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Wilson; two sisters, Charlotte Blackwell and Betty Lockabye.
Survivors include a son, Logan Jeffery Rogers of Toccoa, GA; one daughter and a son-in-law, Christine Rogers Sargent and her husband Tony of Cleveland, GA ; two brothers, Ricky Rider and Reggie Rider both of Mayesville, GA; one sister, Regina Rider of Gainesville, GA; grand children, Allen Wade, Jessica Wade and Breanna Sargent; and her beloved and loyal dog Chocolate.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Burrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylors’s Chapel Cemetery in Rabun Gap.
The body is at Hunter Funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Thursday, May 10, 2012.
The family is at their respective homes.
