Glen C. Jones, 55, of Colchester Lane, Mountain City, Georgia., died Tuesday November 1, 2011 at his residence.
Born in Greenville, Kentucky April 2, 1956, he was the son of the late Odell and Dolly King Jones. He was a press operator in metal parts and a construction worker. He was a Baptist by Faith.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Jones, Donald Jones, and Wilford Jones and by sisters; Frances Wood and Valetha Piper and is survived by his wife, Glenna Wilson Jones of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Tony Sargent of Cleveland, GA.One son Logan Jeff Rogers of Toccoa, GA. Four brothers, Leroy Jones, of Greenville, MI., Bobby Jones of Round Rock, TX., Roger Jones of Beaver Dam, KY., and Harold Jones of Central City, Ky., four sisters, Linda Pennock of Beaver Dam, KY., Pearl Frizell of Hartford, KY., Mildred Gephart of MT. City, TENN and Shirley Logan of Houston, TX. Two grandchildren, Jessica Wade and Breanna Sargent, Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive and also his two best friends, Jerry Love and Charlie Roberts and his beloved dog “Chocolate”.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday November 4, 2011 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Walden officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor’s Chapel Cemetery on Black Rock Mountain.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Thursday November 3, 2011 from 6 to 8 P.M.
The family is at the home of his niece, Tammy Speed on number 10 Lane, Clayton.
