Gladys Talley Ramey, 74 of the Chechero Community in Clayton, GA., died Monday February 26, 2018 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born in Macon County, NC., August 30, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John Riley Talley and Effie Carpenter Talley. She was the wife of Robert W. Ramey, of Clayton. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of the Wolffork Christian Fellowship Church, Rabun Gap, GA.

Besides her husband, Robert W. Ramey, she is survived by one son, Dale Ramey of Clayton, GA., and one daughter, Marie Armour of Cornelia, GA., three sisters, Pearl Carpenter of Clayton, GA., Barbara Smith of Tignall, GA., and Hazel Ayers of Lavonia, GA. Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Friday March 2, 2018 at the Wolffork Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Harvey Conner and Rev. Clay Patton officiating.

Burial will be in the Dixon Cemetery in the Chechero Community, Clayton, GA. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to the Wolffork Christian Fellowship Church Friday for visitation from 1:00PM to 2:00PM (the funeral hour).

The family is at the home in the Chechero Community.
