Gerry Simmons

Gerry Lee Simmons, 49, of Mtn. City, Ga. Died Thursday night, May 21, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident minutes before.

Born in Clayton, Ga., July 12, 1965 he was the son of the late Carlton and Evelyn Stancil Simmons. He was a Rock Mason by trade and was a Baptist.

Gerry was preceded in death, besides his parents, by two brothers, Leroy Ramey & Carlton Coffee and is survived by one son, Austin Smith of Lakemont, Ga., Daughters, Sara Megan Simmons and Kristina Lynn Simmons of Lakemont, Ga., Kara Beck and Aarianna Landers of Clayton, Ga. Three brothers, Doug Ramey of Elberton, Ga., Charles Ramey of Lakemont, Ga. & Eugene Woodall of Rabun Gap, Ga. Three sister, Catherine Locke, of Greenville, SC., Barbara Webb of Tiger, Ga. & Patricia Collins of Rabun Gap, Ga. One Granddaughter, Aubri Beck.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 Pm. Sunday May 24, 2015, at the graveside of Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Lakemont, Ga. with the Rev. Michael Rogers Officiating.

The family will have visitation at Hunter Funeral Home Sunday from 12:00 Pm. To 1:00 Pm. with services at Flat Creek Cemetery at 2:00 Pm. The family is at their respective residences.
