George Henslee 83, Clayton, GA
George Henslee, 83, of Bradford Road, Clayton, died Monday September 6, 2010.
Born November 30, 1926 in Clayton, GA., he was the son of the late Roy Henslee, Sr and Jean Watts Henslee. He was the widower of Edith McDonald Henslee.
George was retired as an automobile tire re-capper and was and was also a rock mason, and he was also known as an avid fisherman. He was of the Baptist faith.
George was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Henslee and Rodney Henslee; a grandson Rodney Edward Henslee and a great grandson Christopher Robert Moore; four brothers Roy, Jr, David, Bobby and Tommy Henslee; two sisters, Ruth Dodgins and Linda Whitmire.
He is survived by three sons, Claude Henslee and Brian Henslee both of Clayton and Ronald Henslee of Tiger; two daughters, Patricia Dunham and Mary Jean Moore both of Clayton; one brother, Curtis Henslee of Hollywood, GA; one sister, Janie Henslee of Lakemont, GA.; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday evening September 9, 2010 at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Burrell officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 PM until 7 PM Thursday.
The family is at the home of his daughter and son-in-law Pat and Jim Dunham on Bradford Road, Clayton.
