George Ensley

George Herman Ensley, 74, of Sunrise Mountain Road Mountain City, Georgia., died Saturday March 1, 2014 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the widower of Mildred Ensley.

He was born in Canton, North Carolina., May 21, 1939 to the late Garland and Ruth Deitz Ensley. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was retired from Tallulah Falls School in the Maintenance Department and was a member of the Blue Heights Baptist Church for over thirty years.

He was preceded in death besides his parents, by his loving wife Mildred Ensley., one son, Michael Tyler., one brother, Eugene Ensley., one sister, Barbara Jean and a grandson, Brian Tyler.

He is survived by two sons, Billy Tyler of Mt. City, GA., and Ricky Ensley (Cathy) of Aragon, GA., one sister, Brenda Denny (Bill) of Clayton, LA., three grandchildren, Brooke Kilby of Tiger, GA., Nolan and Callie Ensley of Aragon, GA., Three great grandchildren, and a special friend Dyanne Dobson of Loganville, GA., nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday March 4, 2014 at the Blue Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Gabe Southards officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Monday Night March 3, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. The body will be placed in the Church Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. (The Funeral Hour) to lie in-state. The family asks in lieu of flower memorial donations be made in his memory, to Blue Heights Baptist Church Benevolence Fund 46 Cross Street Mt. City GA. 30562 or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 2302 Parklake Drive Suite 210 Atlanta, GA. 30345 (In Honor of Callie Ensley). The family is at the home of his son, Billy Tyler on Black Rock Road Mt. City, Georgia.
