Gene Dotson, 70, of Mountain City, GA, died, April 10, 2011 at his residence.
Gene was a carpenter by trade and a member of Blue Heights Baptist Church.
Gene was born September 11, 1940 to the late Jesse Henry Dotson and Cenna Belle Blair Dotson.
He was the husband of Reba Ramey Dotson formerly of Wiley, GA.
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Catherine Bass and by his sister Aline Hilgen,
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Fredrick E Dotson and Shelley Foss Dotson, of Mauldin, SC, a son-in-law and daughter, Ralph E Bass III and Cynthia Dotson Bass of Simpsonville, SC, a son, Hugh W Dotson of Atlanta, GA and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, William Albert "Bill" Dotson of Mountain City. GA
The family will receive friends at Hunter Funeral Home on Monday, April 11, 2011 from 6 PM to 8 PM.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 AM on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Hunter Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Blue Heights Baptist Church Cemetery in Mountain City.
