Furman Deal Cobb Sr., age 89, passed away on January 1, 2020 at his residence.
He was born on May 12, 1930 in Oconee, South Carolina to John and Daisy Marsengill Cobb. He was a life long resident of Rabun County where he was a Army Veteran and iron worker for Duke Power. He was also a member of Blue Valley Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife Hazel Cobb, two sons, Kenneth Cobb and Furman Cobb Jr., three brothers, Paul Cobb, Bill Cobb, and Henry Cobb, and two sisters Ruth Cromer and Louise Teague. Survivors include one son Jeff Cobb (Brandy)of Clayton, Georgia, two daughters, Wanda Holbrooks (James) of Longcreek, South Carolina, Angela Henslee of Clayton, Georgia, one sister, Mary Grace Speed of Clayton, Georgia One Brother Charles Cobb Westminister Sc and numerous grand children, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be at 11: 00 AM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM on January 4, 2020 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with a graveside side service to follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
The family is at their Respective Residences.
