Frankie Williamson

Frankie P. Williamson, 90, of Clayton, Georgia., died Tuesday February 17, 2015 at her home. She was the widow of Albert Frank (Buff) Williamson, who died in 2010.

Born in Rabun County September 10, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Birdie Canup Philyaw. She was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church and was a registered nurse (RN.). She touched the lives of many people through Rabun County Hospital and doctor’s offices and other medical facilities.

Frankie was preceded in death, besides her parents, a brother, Randal Philyaw and is survived by a son, Steven Williamson of Tiger, GA., a daughter, Jan Vonk (Paul) of Mt. City, GA., a sister, Corinne Hamby of Clayton., four grandchildren, Michelle, Alyssa, Ryan and Megan. Four great grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, Brittney and Brayden, and one great great grandson, Bentley.

Funeral Services will be Thursday February 19, 2015 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M. (the funeral hour). The family is at the home. Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory, to Clayton Baptist Church, 87 S. Church Street, Clayton, GA. 30525
