Frances Swafford Allen, 84, of Mtn. City, GA., widow of Emmett Bell Allen, died Sunday March 18, 2018 in Mountain Lakes Medical Center, Clayton, GA.
Frances was born in Rabun County, August 24, 1933 to the late Howard T. Swafford and Rosie Beaty Swafford and had lived the greater part of her life in Monroe, GA. She was a homemaker and was a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Allen and by sons, Paul Allen and by Emmett Allen, Jr., and is survived by a son, Shane Allen of Clayton, GA., three daughters, Shirley Herring of Toccoa, GA., Sheila Allen of Mtn. City, GA., and Sandra Jude of Commerce, GA., one sister, Rose Ann Swafford of Mtn. City, GA. Four grandchildren, Joshua, Brandi, Elias, and Evan also survive.
Funeral services will be at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home, Wednesday March 21, 2018 at 1:00pm, with Pastor Madison McCrackin officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Methodist Cemetery in the Warwoman Community.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home with visitation at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday March 20, 2018. The family is at their respective residences.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
