Floyd Maxwell Finley, 83, of Clayton, Georgia died Thursday evening, October 22,2015 in Mtn View Health Care.
Born in Clay County, North Carolina, He was the son of the late Maxwell Floyd Finley and Vidalia Guest Finley , He had lived the greater part of his life in Rabun County .
He was first married to Bessie Ramey of Clayton, Ga., who died several years ago and who was the mother of his children.
Mr. Finley was a body and fender auto repairman and painter in the auto repair Industry. He was a member of the Carver’s Chapel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon .
He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife and by a son , Julius Finley and is survived by three sons, Donald Lee Finley and Joseph Floyd (Jo-Jo) Finley of Clayton , Ga. , John Kennedy Finley of Clarkesville , Ga., five daughters , Jo Ann Watts of Tiger, Ga., Mary Parker of Cleveland , Ga. , Betty Sue Wilkerson of Lakemont, Ga. , Glenda Faye Finley of Clayton, Ga. , Julie Mae Cunningham of Demorest, Ga., a niece , Sylvia and sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00P.M, Sunday October 25, 2015 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home by Rev. Allen Webb. Layman Lloyd Hunter will conduct the grave side service. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park.
The body is at the funeral home where visitation will be held from 6 to 8P.M , Saturday October 24, 2015 , The family is at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Jackie Watts of Tiger, Ga.
