Faye Jimmerson Cates, 71, Lakemont, GA.


Faye Jimmerson Cates, 71, of Orchard View Lane, Lakemont, wife of Donald Cates, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at her residence.
Born July 14, 1938 in Griffin, Georgia she was a daughter of the late Marvin Wesley and Ruby Thelma Dillard Jimmerson. She was a retired Teachers assistant with the Duval County Board of Education in Duval County, Florida; she was a member of the Tiger Woman’s Club and a member of the Clayton Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to her husband include five sons, Donald JR and wife Sandy Cates of Acworth, GA, David and wife Tami Cates of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Steven Cates of Collierville, TN, Scott and wife Lori Cates of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Mark and wife Kelly Cates of Asheville, NC; three special nephews, Tim, Darryl, and Mike Jimerson; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
A Memorial Service Will be 2:30 PM Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Clayton Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis James, Rev. Joey Thompson and Rev. David Rogers officiating. Family will greet loved ones and friends at the church from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. Thursday, prior to the service.
