Ethel Lee Wilbanks Young, 76, Clayton, Ga.


Ethel Lee Wilbanks Young, Age 76, of the Wolf Creek Community, Lakemont, Georgia., Died Tuesday morning, August 4, 2009 in Mountain Lakes Medical Center. She was the widow of William Young, Sr.
Born in Rabun County May 18, 1933, She was the daughter of the late Marlor and Wilda Nations Wilbanks. She was a Homemaker and a Pre-School Teacher. She was an avid Fisherman and Gardner. She was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ideal Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Andy Wilbanks, Stanford Wilbanks and Norman Wilbanks and by a sister, Nina Wilbanks Stephens, and is survived by three sons and their wives, DR. Bill Young, Jr and Charlotte of Blackshear, Ga., Kenn Young and Debbie of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Doug Young and Lori of Lakemont, Ga., Three brothers James Hicks Wilbanks of Lakemont, Henry Hubert Wilbanks of Decatur, Ga. And by Sandy Bartley Wilbanks of Lulu, Ga. Six sisters and three brothers- in-law, Sallie Smith, Florine and Jess Wall, Lurlene and Jimmy Stephens and Mary Arthur, all of Lakemont, Beulah Smith of Hoschton, Ga. and Jewell and Author Speed of Clayton. Six Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren and a long time friend and companion, Doug Davidson and his family of Turnerville, Ga.
Funeral Services will be at the Clayton Baptist Church Mac Building at 2:00 P.M. Thursday August 6, 2009 with Rev. Joey Thompson and Rev. John Gipson Officiating. Burial will be in the Rabun Memory Park Cemetery. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Wednesday August 5, 2009. The body will be placed in the Church at 1:00 P.M. Thursday to Lie in State. The Family is at the home of her sister, Mary Arthur on East Wolf Creek Rd., Lakemont. Family asks that in lieu of Flowers Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society; 2565 Thompson Bridge Rd, Suite 114, Gainesville, Ga. 30501
