Essie Faye (Alexander) Justus, 79, of Clayton, GA passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021.
Born in Rabun County on February 27, 1942 she was the daughter of the late William Alexander and Margie Seay Alexander. She was retired from Hanes where she worked as a spinner. She was of the Church of God Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margie Alexander, brothers, James Alexander, Gus Alexander, Frank Alexander, Wallace Alexander and Ross Alexander and by sisters, Della Hopper, Mae Coleman and Verlene Holt. She is survived by her son, Dale Anders of Clayton, GA, daughters, Marilyn Webb of Lakemont, GA and Kathy Summer of Franklin, NC and by sisters, Gladys Webb of Mt. Airy, GA and Mary Ann and Floyd Henslee of Rabun Gap, GA and by four grandchildren, Micky (Misty) Webb of Dublin, GA, Misty Johnson of Franklin, NC, Jesse Swafford of Murphy, NC and Mandi (Wes) Howell of Harrison, GA. Ten great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren also survive.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where there will be a visitation at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm (the funeral hour). Funeral services will be at 2:00pm at the Eastside Chapel with Rev. Thomas Burrell and her great grandson Cody Queen officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Heights Baptist Church Cemetery in Mtn City. In light of COVID-19 we ask that masks be worn inside and to please maintain social distancing.
The family is at the home of her daughter on East Wolfcreek Road in Lakemont, GA.
