Ernest Taylor 60, Rabun Gap, Georgia.


Ernest Taylor, 60, of Rabun Gap, Georgia, affectionately known as E.T., died Friday November 23, 2012 at his residence. He was the husband of Bessie Dowdle Taylor.
Born in Rabun County, December 26, 1951, he was the son of the late Jim and Cleo McConnell Taylor. He was retired from Fruit of the Loom and Burlington Industries in the textile industry after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church.
Surviving him are his wife, Bessie Dowdle Taylor of the home; three daughters, Tammy Mize and her husband, Henry of Clayton, GA., Lisa Taylor, of Franklin NC., Donna McKinzey and her husband, Joey of Dahlonega, GA., two brothers, Edward Taylor and wife Jeanette of Otto, NC., and Ellis Taylor and wife Barbara of Rabun, Gap, GA., three sisters, Betty English and her husband, Allen, of Tiger, GA., Barbara Woodall and husband Larry of Rabun Gap, GA., and Beatrice Welch and husband Willard of Clayton, GA. Five grandchildren and several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday November 25, 2012 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Webb and Rev. Alton Dendy officiating. Burial will be in the Head of Tennessee Cemetery, Dillard, GA.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 4 to 7 P.M. Saturday November 24, 2012. The family is at the home on Crusher Run Road, Rabun Gap, GA.
