Ernest Jackson Blalock, 65, Toccoa, Georgia


Ernest Jackson Blalock, 65, of Toccoa, Georgia, formerly of Rabun County, died March 25, 2011 at Stephens County Hospital.
He was born in Rabun County, Georgia, to the late Aaron and Sallie Welborn Blalock. He was a member of the JC’s and the Lions Club, and was Baptist by denomination and Christian by Faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Wanda Taylor Blalock, one daughter and son –in-law, Sheila Blalock Harris and Ashley Hayne Harris of Cleveland, Georgia, two grandchildren Alexis Brooke Holcomb and Jackson Hayne Harris also of Cleveland, Georgia. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home in Clayton Georgia, with the Rev. James Turpin and Rev. Jewel Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in Rabun Memory Park Cemetery, Tiger, Georgia.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 6 to 8pm at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Sheila Harris, of Cleveland, Georgia.
