Ellie Alley Blair , 91 , of Tiger , Ga. died Thursday Night November 27 , 2008 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville , Ga.
Born in Rabun County , Georgia .September 11 , 1917 . She was the daughter of the late,Jable and Lizzie Manley Alley .She was the Widow of Almon Blair.She was retired from the Postal Service and from Rabun County School System Cafeteria . She was a member of the Tiger Baptist Church for 60 years plus ; and served the Church as a member of the WMU and taught the childrens Sunday School for many years . She was also a member of the American Postal Workers and AARP.
She was preceded in death by brothers , Harry , Bud , Bill and Gene Alley and by sisters , Myrtle Fisher and Betty Emory and is survived by Two sons and daughters in- law Leslie and Mary Eve Blair of Folkston,Ga. , Jerry and Karen Blair of Tiger, Ga. and by two brothers ; Claude Alley of Detroit , Michigan and Jack Alley , Tiger , Ga. , Six grandchildren , Danon Middleton , Rhonda Murray , Beth Coleman , Tara Blair , Allen Blair and Apryl Blair Singer , Seven great grandchildren also survive .
Funeral Services will be at 3 :00 P.M. Sunday November 30 , 2008 at the Tiger Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Hunnicutt and Rev. Johnny Wright officiating .
Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park .
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Saturday Night November 29 , 2008 .
The body will be placed in the church at 2:00 P.M Sunday to lie in state.
The family is at the home on Old Hwy.441 S. Tiger , Ga.
