Elana Conley McClain, 55 of Rabun Gap, Georgia, died Tuesday May 24, 2011.
Born in Pontiac, Michigan, July 3, 1955, she was the daughter of June Gregory Conley of Franklin, NC, and the late James L. Conley.
She was a lab technician with Burlington Industries for a number of years and most recently was a caretaker at Andy’s Trout Farm. She was a member of the Betty’s Creek Homemakers Club and was a member of the Betty’s Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Conley, and is survived by a son, Justin McClain, of the home; by her mother, June Gregory Conley of Franklin, NC, a brother, Bo Conley, Toccoa, GA., by her former husband Kenny McClain of Rabun Gap, GA and a nephew, James Conley and a niece, Tasha Conley.
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Friday May 27, 2011 at the Betty’s Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Smith and Rev. Dale Welsh officiating. Rev. Ronia Hunter will conduct the graveside service.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to the Betty’s Creek Baptist Church Thursday May 26, 2011, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM.
The family is at the home place of Gay and Ida Williams McClain on Fescue Lane, Rabun Gap, in the Betty’s Creek Community.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge.
