Edmond Paul Alexander, 51, of Mountain City, Georgia, died Wednesday January 1, 2014 in VA. Hospital, Asheville, North Carolina. He was the husband of Tina Farmer Alexander.
He was born in Fairbanks, Alaska June 7, 1962 to Frank J. Alexander and Sigurdur Jona Magusdottur. He was an automobile mechanic in the U.S. Army and in civilian life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1980 to 1989 (Grenada). He attended the Blue Heights Baptist Church.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Tina Farmer Alexander of the home; his mother, Sigurdur Jona Magusdottur of Mt. City, GA; two sons, Chamberlain Alexander (Amber) Lakemont, GA., Shaun Alexander of Alabama. One daughter, Ambra Alexander Parker, of Dillard, GA. Two brothers, Allen Alexander (Gabi) of MT. City, GA., Jason Alexander of Mt. City., three sisters, Patti Saunders (Todd) of Wiley, GA., Debi McDonald (Wayne) of MT. City and Terry Gibson (Ben) of Clayton, GA. Two grandchildren, Jaylen Parker and Aaliyah Parker and thirty nine nephews and nieces and twenty six great nephews and nieces also survive.
Funeral Services will be at Blue Heights Baptist Church Saturday January 4, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Harvey Conner officiating. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park with Military Honors.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Friday January 3, 2014.The family is at the home on North Street in Mt. City, Georgia. Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in his memory, to Hunter Funeral Home P.O. Box 653 Clayton, GA. 30525 to aid in funeral expenses.
