Doug Sosebee, 63, of JB and Fred Lane, Clayton, GA. died Sunday, December 5, 2010 at his residence.
Born January 14, 1947 in Habersham County he was the son of the late Huey Kingsley and Edith Hamilton Sosebee. He was a machine operator in the textile industry, a U. S Army veteran of Vietnam, a member of American Legion Post 220 and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one sister, Cleta Welch of Clayton, GA; four nieces, Vicky Welch Hammons, Clayton, GA, Nacoma Speed, Rabun Gap, GA, Cleta McClain, Clayton, GA and Elizabeth McClain, Clayton, GA.; two nephews, Grady Holcomb of Clayton, GA and Lucas Speed of Rabun Gap, GA; one great nephew, Caleb Speed of Rabun Gap, GA.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be at 2 PM Friday, December 10, 2010 at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Charles E. Stutsman officiating. Burial will be in the Rabun Memory Park Cemetery with full military honors.
The family is at the home of his sister, Cleta Welch on Dud Creek Spur, Clayton, and will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM Friday December 10, 2010 at Hunter Funeral Home.
