Dorothy Josephine Mason, 76, Oviedo, Florida.


Dorothy Josephine Mason, 76 of Oviedo, Florida, died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at The Hospice of the Comforter.
Born in Rabun County March 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Susie Smith Hopkins. She was a seamstress in the textile industry and caretaker of her son until March of 2005. She was a member of Chechero Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Bonnie and John Bearzi of Oviedo, Florida, one brother; Haskell Hopkins of Lakemont, GA, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister; Reba Mize, a brother; Rev. Herschel Hopkins, a son; Randy Mason and a daughter; Susan Giles.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Godfrey Cemetery in the Chechero Community, Clayton, Ga. with Rev. Donny Mize officiating.
