Dorothy S. Henslee, 66, of Po Folks, Lane Rabun Gap, Georgia., died Thursday March 17, 2011, in at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Georgia.
Born in Barnesville, Georgia, November 13, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Catharine Darnell Spillers. She was the widow of Harold Joseph Henslee, She worked at Empire M.F.G. in the Textile Industry for many years Mrs. Henslee was Baptist by Faith and loved her family and friends very much.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henslee is preceded in death by her husband and three sisters, Linda Sullivan, Harriett Johnson, and Eva Burkhart.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenny and Michelle Henslee of Rabun Gap, GA., and Larry Henslee of Rabun Gap, GA., four grandchildren, Kallen, Britany, Morgan, and Braden Hensley, one brother, Matt Spillers, of Mississippi., and one sister, Freda Mae Wright, of Barnesville, GA., several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, March 20, 2011 2:00 P.M. at Wolfork Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Harvey Conner, Rev. Clay Patton, officiating. Graveside services will follow the in Wesley Cemetery, Rabun Gap, Georgia conducted by Rev. Tom Larocca.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 6 to 9 PM. The body will lie in state at the church at 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
The family is at the residence of her son Kenny Henslee on Po Folks Lane, in the Rabun Gap Community.
