Doris Stancil Miller, 70, of Stecoa Falls Road, Clayton, Georgia., died Friday November 4, 2011 in Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, Georgia. She was the wife of Don Miller.
Born in Rabun County September 26, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Bessie Smith Stancil. She was a seamstress in the textile industry and was a member of the Clayton Church of God.
She was preceded in death by a grandson; Brandon Miller and by three sisters; Sallie Nichols, Mildred Turpin and Hazel Sanders and is survived by; her husband, Don Miller of the home, two daughters, Kathy Miller of Alto, GA., and Brenda Ricaria of Colorado; by three sons; Frank Miller of Baldwin, GA., Keith Miller of Turnerville, GA., and Donnie Miller of Lavonia, GA. One sister, Grace Bennett of Hiawassee, GA., ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, several nephews’ nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday November 8, 2011 at the Clayton Church of God with Rev. Bryan Alexander and Rev. Jeff Houston officiating. Burial will be in the Turnerville Church of God Cemetery, Hollywood, Georgia., with Rev. Jarvis Bennett conducting the graveside service.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Monday night November 7, 2011 from 6 to 8 P.M.
The family is at the home of her son, Donnie Miller, on Lakeview Road, Lavonia, Georgia.
