Doris Grant

Doris Ruth Grant, 78, of Clayton, Georgia., died Friday July 24, 2015 at her home.

Born in Habersham County October 3, 1936, she was the daughter of the late George A. Hamilton and Hetty Shook Hamilton. She had lived the past sixty six years in Rabun County.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, by her first husband, Bobby Lee Holcomb, by a son and daughter, ten sisters, two brothers and three grandchildren. She was the last member of her immediate family. Ruth is survived by two sons, Lee Holcomb (Amanda) and Bobby A. Holcomb, both of Clayton. Seven grandchildren, Becky, Trampes, Terry, Grady, Alanna, Aleigha and Ashton and three great grandchildren, Jamie, Tristan, and Destiny also survive.

The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be graveside at Timpson Cove Cemetery on Meeting House Cove Road at 3:00 P.M. Friday July 31, 2015. Rev. Tim McCall will officiate.

The family is at the home of her son and daughter in-law, Lee and Amanda Holcomb on Clayton Ave., Clayton., Georgia.
