Doris Gibson

Doris Maree Gibson, 83, of Mountain City, GA died Monday , September 17, 2018 at her home. 

Born October 9, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Webb Justus and Sophia Jiles. She lived most of her life in Rabun County and was a time clerk at Fruit of the Loom and a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Webb and Sophia Justus, and two brothers, Howard Justus and Hugh Justus.  and is survived by three sons, Dennis Gibson (Pat) of Stockbridge, GA, Horace Gibson (Gayla) of Mountain City, GA, and Danny Gibson (Lisa) of Clayton, GA. One daughter, Debora "Debbie" McClain of Lakemont, GA and a sister, Barbara Strickland of Snellville, GA. Seven grandchildren, Mack, Chad, Brodie, Tyler, Sterling, McKaylin, and Christy, and seven great grandchildren also survive. 

Funeral services will be Thursday September 20, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Battle Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Madison McCrackin officiating. Visitation will be Thursday September 20, 2018 from 11:00AM to 12:00 noon (the funeral hour).

Family asks that Memorial Contributions be made, in her memory, to Battle Branch Baptist Church, 1769 Warwoman Rd. Clayton, GA 30525.The family is at the home on Gates Lane, Mountain City, GA.
