Doris Christine White Crane December 15, 1930- August 29, 2009 Doris Christine White Crane, 78, of Clayton, Georgia passed away Saturday August 29, 2009. Doris was born in Tifton Georgia, and then later moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. Doris was a member of the Salvation Army in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she taught Sunbeams and sang in the Choir, Doris was a member of the Eastern Star. She moved to Clayton, Georgia. with her husband 13 years ago. Doris was preceded in death by her parents Roy Lee White and Annie Lee Rhodes, a brother Keith and a granddaughter Angela. Doris was a member of Betty’s Creek Baptist Church and also belonged to Betty’s Creek Homemakers Club. Survivors include her husband, Albert L. Crane, two sons, Ronald Crane and wife Patsy, Gary Crane and wife Cindy, of Rabun Gap, Georgia. Three daughters, Debbie Shriner and husband, Walter of Asheville, NC. Susan Guzman and husband Larry, Nancy Titshaw and husband Tommy, of West Palm Beach, Florida, twelve grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren. Five sisters and two brothers also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday September 1, 2009 at the Betty’s Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Welsh and Rev. Ronia Hunter officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday August 31, 2009. The body will be placed in the Church at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday September 1, 2009. to lie in state. The family is at the home of her son, Gary Crane on Betty’s Creek RD, in the Betty’s Creek Community, Rabun Gap, Georgia.
