Dieter Alfred Harré, age 83, of Sky Valley, GA, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022.
Dieter was born on April 19, 1939, in Flensburg, Germany to the late Alfred and Clara Harré. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Harré, two sons, Sven Harré (DeAnna) of Winter Spring, FL, and Klaus Harré (Teri) of Orlando, FL, one stepson, Marvin Turcotte (Melissa) of Orlando, FL, one stepdaughter Claudia Turcotte of Casselberry, FL, sister in-law Dina Holzer, nephew Leon Holzer (Aimee) and two grandchildren.
Dieter had many friends from around the world. His Austrian friends included Arthur Ghirardelli (Monica). His lifelong friend, Dieter Baer, introduced Dieter to paradise, which he always referred to as “beautiful Sky Valley”. Dieter lived in Sky Valley with Barbara for twenty-two years. They loved the many special friends made there.
Dieter was very talented. He was an exceptional mechanic specializing mainly on European vehicles. Dieter was a remarkable musician and had a great passion for music, especially German. He entertained at many gatherings in Sky Valley and the surrounding area. His smile was contagious. Dieter was very helpful to anyone in need. If you needed something he was there for you. Dieter was looked upon as the local tour guide and ambassador for many friends and family. He was notorious for finding new places to visit, explore and enjoy in the area. His deep passion for classic cars, motorcycles, good German food and bier were well known amongst his friends. He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest to the very end. Dieter will be dearly missed.
