Dera "Dee" Davenport

Dera Harris Davenport ,88 , of Tiger, Ga. affectionately known as “Dee”, died Monday May 30 , 2016 at her home in Tiger.

Born in Yolande , Alabama August 9 , 1927 , She was the daughter of the late James Lynnwood Harris and Carrie Belk Patterson Harris. She was the widow of C.R. Davenport and was the last member of her immediate family.

She worked Civil Service with the U.S. Marine Corps. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son , Jon Davenport of Tiger, Ga., Two daughters , Delynn Hoover of Tiger,Ga. and Lauren Scott (David) of Tiger. Seven grandchildren , Matt Davenport , Adam Davenport , Jessica Cokencolther , Laci Hicks , Tina Boozer , Deidre Schubert and Amber Janz, Seven great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be Thursday June 2, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Cates and Rev. Larry Scales officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at Hunter funeral home where visitation will be Wednesday evening June 1, 2016 from 6 to 8 P.M.

The family is at home on Davenport Lane , Tiger,Ga.
