Denver Clarence Taylor, 74, of Camp Creek Road., Lakemont, Georgia., died Friday December 16, 2011 in Athens, Georgia.
Born in Rabun County October 14, 1937, he was the son of the late Jesse and Jessie Garland Taylor. He was a forklift operator in the textile industry and worked in the construction industry for a number of years. and also was a member of the Coon Hunters Association and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James R. Taylor and is survived by two daughters, Kathy Taylor Casper and her husband Pat of Oakwood, GA., Karen Taylor Ivester and her husband Edgar of Mt. Airy, GA. One brother, Sam Taylor of Tiger, GA.Two sisters, Mildred Turpin, of Franklin, NC., Eunice and Gene Billingsley of Scaly Mountain, NC. Three grandchildren; Misty and husband, Kevin Turpin, Kristi Ivester and Christopher Ivester and one great grandson, Hampton Turpin.
The body has been cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made, in his memory, to Victory Home, 320 Victory Home Lane, Tallulah Falls, GA. 30573
