Delilah Pitts

Delilah “Dolly” Watts Pitts, 84 of Rabun Gap, Georgia., died Monday June 16, 2014 at her residence.

Born June 12, 1930 in Tiger, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Hubert D. AND Ethel Baker Watts. She was the widow of John Calvin Pitts. She and Calvin lived in Lutz, Florida for several years. She was a bookkeeper and office manager for Pepsi Cola Company in Tampa, Florida. She was a former member of ABWA, Presidents Round Table and Arts and Crafts Guild. She was a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Stewart Watts and John Daniel Watts and by Three Sisters, Jane Wheeler, Evelyn Mobley and Ellen Clevenger, and is survived by one daughter, Shirley Dunegan of Rabun Gap, GA., one granddaughter, Christine Dunegan, Rabun Gap, GA., and one great granddaughter, Delilah Grace Phillips, of Rabun Gap.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 18, 2014 at Rocky Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Watts officiating. Burial will be in the Rocky Grove Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday June 17, 2014. The body will be placed in the church at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday to lie in state. The family is at the home on Esco Circle, Rabun Gap, Georgia.

Family asks in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory, to Rocky Grove Baptist Church 6900 Bridge Creek Road Tiger, GA. 30576 and/or Gideon’s International P.O. Box 241, Clayton, GA. 30525.
