David Lee Walker, 73, of Commerce, GA formerly of Rabun County, died Saturday January 12, 2008 at his residence in Commerce, GA.
Born April 17, 1934 in Carroll County he was the son of the late Melvin Kelly and Nora Vera Miller Walker. Mr. Walker had spent most of his life in the Atlanta area and was employed for many years in the Carpentry industry, and more recently involved in the Flea Market Industry. He was a member of the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church in Dillard, GA.
Survivors include his former wife; Anna L. Walker of Rabun Gap, GA, one son and daughter-in-law; Kenny and Tammy Walker of Rabun Gap, GA, four grandchildren; Leon Edwin Walker, Justin Morris Walker, David Kyle Walker and Kayla Walker, one sister; Peggy Hill Hazen of Helen, GA, two nieces; Donna Lynn and Kelly.
He was preceded in death by a son; David Maurice Walker.
Graveside services will be held at 11:AM Tuesday January 15, 2008 at the Boyd’s Chapel Cemetery in the Upper Hightower Community, Hiawassee GA.
