David Roy Rogers, 59 of Ivy Drive, Salem, SC. Died Friday May 22, 2009 at his home.
Born in Rabun County, GA. May 2, 1950 he was the son of the late Roy Lee Rogers, and Carrie Jane Bradshaw Roberts. He had spent the greater part of his life in Rabun, County. He was a Boiler Operator in the Textile Industry for Burlington Industries, and he was a member of the Newman’s Chapel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his long time companion Mary Webb, of Salem, SC. and by two daughters. Vicki Rogers of Clayton, GA. And Stefanie Rogers of Salem, SC. By one brother Eddie Rogers, of Athens, GA. Three sisters Sally McCoy of Seneca, SC. Judy Fountain of Mtn. City, GA. Betty Shope of Dillard, GA. Two grandchildren, Rosie Rogers and Tyler Ramey.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday May 26,2009 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Conner and Rev. Dr Joe Nichols Officating. Rev. Doug Webb will conduct Graveside services at Long Creek Memorial Cemetery Long Creek, SC.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 5 to 9 P.M. Monday, May 25, 2009 The family is at their respective residences.
