Darlene Malcom Keener, 63 of Dud Creek Road in the Chechero Community, Clayton, Georgia., died Wednesday January 18, 2012 at her residence.
Born in Morgan County, Georgia., January 17, 1949, she was the daughter of Willie Sue Dye Malcom of Clayton and the late Rev. George Robert Malcom. She was the wife of Earl Keener of Clayton
. Darlene was a member of the Chechero Baptist Church and was a nurse’s aid in the home health program.
Besides her husband, Earl Keener, and her mother, Willie Sue Dye Malcom, she is survived by her children, Robert Earl Keener and Angela Blankenship of Clayton and by Randall Eugene Keener and Julie Riddle of Cornelia, Georgia. Two brothers, George Nichols Malcom of Locust Grove, Georgia., and Robert Stanley Malcom of Columbia, TN. Two Sisters; Susan Malcom Griffeth of Watkinsville, GA., and Pamelia Malcom Kirby of Locust Grove, GA. Six Grand Children; J.R. Keener, Cass Keener, Aaron Keener, Dalton Keener, Cole Keener, and Morgen Keener. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by a son; Freddie Wayne Keener.
Funeral Services will be Sunday January 22, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Vaughn Stancil officiating. Burial will follow in the Price Cemetery in the Chechero Community, Clayton, Georgia.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday January 21, 2012. The family is at the home on Dud Creek Road and at the home of her mother on Piedmont Lane. Clayton, Georgia.
