Dan M. Ayers, 72 , of Clarkesville, Ga. died Monday night April 13, 2009 in Habersham County Medical Center.
Born in Stephens County, Ga. June 15, 1936, He was the son of the late Ulus M. and Helon Wilkinson Ayers. He was an Avid Cook, Gardner and Fisherman, a U.S. Airforce Veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Fountain Ayers of the home, one son, Danny Ayers of Los Lunas, New Mexico. Two daughters, September Ayers of the home and Sherri Willison, of Norco, Ca. one sister, Carolyn McAllister and her husband Ken of Clarkesville, Ga. Seven grandchildren and several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Larry Ayers, Harold Ayers and Kenneth Ayers and by one sister Doris Payne.
The body has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be at 1:00 P.M Saturday April 18, 2009 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Burrell officiating.
The family is at the home in Clarkesville, Ga. and will receive friends at Hunter Funeral Home Saturday April 18, 2009 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M., the hour of the service.
