Dalton Eugene Shirley, 71, of Wiley, died April 20, 2012 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born January 21, 1941 in Rabun County he was a son of the late Fred E. and Bertha Welborn Shirley. He was a Carpenter by trade and was of the Presbyterian faith.
Mr.Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Calvo Shirley.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Janet Shirley of Wiley, GA and Denver and Brenda Shirley of Clayton, GA; several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Hunter Funeral Home Chapel with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiley Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Sunday, April 22, 2012.
The family is at their respective homes.
