Curtis Allen Keener 66, Clayton, GA


Curtis Allen Keener, 66, of Clayton, husband of Sarah Vinson Keener died Sunday February 3, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Rabun County he was a son of the late Ed Keener and the late Kate Curtis Green. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years and a member of the Mountain City Church of God.
Survivors include his wife; Sarah Vinson Keener of the home, two daughters and sons-in-law; Wanda Elizabeth and Larry Shirley of Rabun Gap, GA, and Sunshine and Shane Watts of Clayton, GA, brothers; Jerry Keener, Steve Keener, and Ronnie Keener all of Rabun Gap, on step-brother; Brownlow Green of Franklin, NC and one half brother; David Green of Mt. Vernon Kentucky, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by a son; Eddie Keener and a brother; Michael Keener.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 11 AM from the Mountain City Church of God with the Rev. Wren Worley and Rev. David Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Wolffork Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2008. The family is at the home in Clayton.
